There isn’t a lot of traffic on the Island, it`s very safe and perfect for families to get around. Some peak traffic may occur in August, but even then only at the harbor. Buses run hourly during the summer season, leaving Carlofote and stopping at all of the main beaches. But if you want to discover the island off the bus route, you can use a car, moped, electric bicycle, bicycle or by foot, whichever you choose you won`t be disappointed.
If you would like to tour the island`s coastline, you can book or rent a boat directly from our website.
Create a truly memorable experience and visit the coves, caves, and beaches by touring the island `s stunning coastline.
You can rent a motorboat or take a half-day / full-day guided tour and relax on one of the beautiful traditional Italian boats.
There is public transport in San Pietro, and the bus runs on a low and high season timetable.
During the high season it leaves the village hourly and takes the coastal route where it stops at all of the beaches.
You can catch the bus at the harbor and the cost of a return ticket is around 4.50 euros regardless of which beach you are visiting.
It`s a great way of getting to the beaches that are out of walking reach and the bus is never full.
We provide a rental service which includes road type bicycles, electric bikes, and scooters.
As the island is quite small discovering it on two wheels is the preferred choice for most of our clients.
To find out more about renting a bike, an electric bike, or scooter please see our rentals page.
